Trash Bash is underway!

March 30, 2011

In case local citizens didn’t know, the City of Borger is currently in the middle of its Spring Trash Bash.
The event is taking place through Saturday.
The city is sponsoring the free week for county residents to bring their trash to the transfer station, located at 920 North Florida.
Tire disposal will not have a limit throughout this time period.
Free disposal of tires will take place for residential customers only, and an ID will be required of all persons who are disposing of tires.
The event is being sponsored by the Borger Chamber of Commerce and the City of Borger.
The transfer station will be open from now through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the tree limb disposal area will be open now through Saturday during the same hours.
The Texas Department of Transportation has provided “Don’t Mess With Texas” trash bags for those who are participating in this week’s Trash Bash.
To find out more about the Spring Trash Bash and how to get involved, contact Kathie Harber at Borger City Hall, 273-0908, David Arthur at the Transfer Station, 273-0977 or Beverly Benton at the Chamber of Commerce, 274-2211.
