Three arrested for narcotics violations

April 30, 2012

Detectives with Borger Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division went out on Wednesday, April 25, with intentions to find any illegal narcotics activity on the streets of Borger.
During their investigation they succeeded with not only one arrest, but three; Larry Clinton Turley, 40; Mark David Purcell II, 19; and Derek Duane Chisholm, 21, all of Borger.
Turley was arrested that morning for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana (class B misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia (class C misdemeanor). Borger police transported Turley to the Borger Police Department and incarcerated him in the Borger Jail.
Later that evening, two others, Purcell and Chisholm, were arrested for the delivery of a controlled substance under penalty group one (felony of the second degree). The two were also arrested and charged for tampering with physical evidence (felony of the third degree). Both Purcell and Chisholm are now incarcerated in the Borger Jail.
In addition, both men were later arraigned on their charges and bond for both men was set at $25,000. As part of the Criminal Investigation, detectives have begun seizure proceedings on a substantial amount of U.S. currency involved with this investigation.
