Texas Panhandle Honor Flight Telethon for area veterans is May 19

The Texas Panhandle Honor Flight program and KVII, ABC News Channel 7 are teaming up to raise funds for this year's Honor Flight. The telethon will air Thursday, May 19 from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on KVII News Channel 7. The telethon's goals are to raise $90,000.00 during the event. Each Honor Flight costs the organization about $200,000. To make a donation during the telethon, please call (806) 322-2085.

This year"s Honor Flight will take off Thursday, September 15 and returning on Saturday the 17th. The Honor Flight organization is a non-profit with a mission to transport America's veterans to Washington, DC to visit memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices our veteran's made protecting America. Priority is given to senior veterans who survived World War II and veterans who are terminally ill.
