Teen arrested on drug charge

A Borger teen was arrested Tuesday for drug possession.
On May 29, 2012, Borger police officers responded to 815 West Tenth Street in reference to an investigation.
Once at the residence, officers arrested Jaden Dion Salinas, 18, for the on-view offense of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, which is a felony of the second degree, according to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department.
In addition to being in possession of a controlled substance, Salinas was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and scales, which is commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.
Salinas was transported to BPD where he was processed.
He was later transported to the Hutchinson County Jail where he was incarcerated.
