Taylor Food Marts acquired by Fikes Wholesale, Inc.

Taylor Food Marts in areas such as West Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico have been acquired by a company based in the Temple area.
On January 9, 2012, Fikes Wholesale Inc., parent company of the 194 CEFCO Convenience Stores, announced it has successfully gained the retail interests of 63 Taylor Food Mart Stores from Taylor Petroleum.
James Fikes, President and CEO of Fikes Wholesale Inc. stated, “This agreement truly represents a win-win for all parties involved and we look forward to serving our customers in these new market areas with immediate plans to resupply depleted inventories.”
According to www.fikesinc.com, “Fikes Wholesale, Inc. is a multi-branded petroleum products marketer that has been in business for 59 years. We offer and distribute quality fuel products from Shell, ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, CITGO and Valero to retail stations throughout Southeastern United States. In addition, Fikes serves many unbranded and commercial accounts with quality gasoline and diesel fuel.”
Communication Manager Stephanie Phillips for CEFCO stores stated, “There are no additional comments at this time.”
Openings for the new stores are unknown at this time.
