Summer reading program kicks off Friday at county libraries

This summer, starting June 1, 2012, all Hutchinson County Libraries are offering a summer reading program to keep children’s interest in reading alive and increase their reading level for the next school year.
The theme for the 2012 Summer Reading Program is “Get a Clue At the Library.”
Sign-up begins Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Borger Library and will be held from 9 a.m till 5 p.m. at the Fritch and Stinnett Libraries the same day.
Children signing up will receive a bag with information on the complete summer events.
Face painting will be available from 1:30p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The first program will be June 5, 2012 at the Morley Theatre at 2 p.m. with Bob Kanegis, Storyteller.
The second program will be June 7 at the Fritch Library Clubroom at 2 p.m. with the Fritch Fire Department.
There will be 17 programs in all. Check your local library for listings.
All children in Hutchinson County are encouraged to come and enjoy the fun.
