Stinnett Celebration just a little over six weeks away

It’s just a little over six weeks until Stinnett’s annual community celebration. So, gather your family and head out to Stinnett Celebration on September 6, 2012. The celebration includes a community picnic at the Stinnett City Park before the lighting of the big “WT” at 6 p.m.
On September 7, residents will gather for the West Texas homecoming game and on September 8 the parade and festivities will take place. The parade line up will be at 10 a.m. and the parade begins at 11 a.m. on Main Street. This year’s theme is “Home is where the Heart is.” There will also be a horseshoe tournament held by Helen’s Kids. Sign ups for this will start at noon and the tournament will begin at 1 p.m. Participation fee is $20 a team. Also, from 9 p.m. to midnight will be the street dance, and the band will be announced soon.
