Star Party Saturday, August 6 at Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument

Enjoy a night out under the starry sky Saturday, August 6 at the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument's annual Star Party. Programs begin at 5:00 p.m. with park ranger lead presentations about the cosmos at the Alibates Visitor Center located just outside of Fritch. At. 8:30 p.m., Dr. Arthur Schneider, Professor Emeritus at Amarillo College will begin a theater presentation, followed by outdoor viewing.

The event is free and open to the public. Visitors are asked to bring outdoor clothing, lawn chairs and insect repellent to make the evening more enjoyable.
