March 7, 2012

A 21-year-old student was killed Tuesday after his car was struck by a semi-truck.
According to Trooper Gabriel Medrano, at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, Antonio Hernandez of Spearman, who was driving a 1992 Toyota Camry, was heading south on Highway 136, three minutes south of Stinnett.
He drove on the right shoulder, then overcorrected to the left, putting him in the oncoming traffic lane where he collided with Jackie Lynn Walker, driver of a 2006 Freight-liner hauling a semi-trailer, heading north.
Hernandez was pronounced dead on the scene. The truck driver wasn't injured. Hernandez was wearing his seat belt.
