Second annual Beef Cattle Conference and Ag Tour set for April 26-27 in Canadian

The second annual Beef Cattle Conference and Ag Tour, sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will be held on Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27 in Canadian. The conference and tour will bring top industry names from across the country to address pressing cattle industry issues. "Our theme is Wave of the Future Regarding Beef Cattle Marketing," said Andy Holloway, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent in Hemphill County. "This is a critical time in the beef cattle marketing business with prices for our beef product beginning to trend down." Conference registration and trade show starts at 8:00 a.m. and the program begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Jones Pavilion located at 1101 N. Sixth St. in Canadian.

The two-day registration fee is $100 per person and includes sessions, three meals, two ranch visits, a tour at The Citadelle Art Foundation, a trade show and entertainment by singer Red Steagall.
