Sargent running for county commissioner

Nathan Sargent is running for the position of County Commissioner, Precinct 3.
Sargent has lived in Hutchinson County for 52 years. He has been farming for 38 years, and now owns and operates his family farm.
He attends First Baptist Church of Stinnett, where he is also involved in ministries of the church. He has served on the Pringle/Morse School Board, and currently serves on the Board Coop. He is married to Donna Burris, and has two grown children and six grandchildren. He enjoys following his grandchildren in their activities, and also enjoys riding four-wheelers and hunting.
He said he is qualified for the office of commissioner due to his experience with budgets and finance from the different boards on which he has served. He also said his knowledge of equipment, dirt, and erosion will be a great benefit to the position, as well as being an employer that helps employees reach their full potential.
Sargent said in working with people, it is important to listen to their concerns and opinions. He said he cares about what is best for all concerned and finds ways to achieve those goals. He also said he has knowledge about present issues taking place in the county.
