The Lady Eagles have a winning record this year, and that was not about to stop in White Deer.
The ladies got off to a hot start with a three from Meek and four points from White and went up 9-0 quickly. Setliff also completes a nice three point play for Fritch.
Four minutes passed in the first before White Deer scored, a testament to the Lady Eagles' tough defense. White Deer committed many frustration fouls, and the Lady Eagles were already in the free throw shooting bonus with a minute left in the first. Fritch leads 19-10 after one.
White gets the ball on a fast break for the Lady Eagles in the second quarter, and they find themselves with an 18 point lead. Hardy hits a three and so does White before the half ends with Fritch up comfortably, 39-23.
The second half begins with Setliff inside for two. Bad passes and missing easy shots on fast breaks plagued the Lady Eagles in the third. They only score 7 in the quarter, but they still hold a comfortable 46-31 lead because of their good play on defense.
The fourth finds White inside for two, and Setliff knocks down a three. Setliff gets tough inside, and White finds her for three straight field goals in the final two minutes of the game. Setliff alone outscored the entire White Deer team in the fourth quarter. The final in White Deer is 61-35, Lady Eagles.
White led all scorers with 20 points, and also had many assists. Setliff got off to a slow start, but ended up with 16 points on the night. Hardy finished with 9. The entire team played tough defense, and that was key to their big win.

The Fritch Eagles definitely scored when it counted.
Things started out very slow for the Eagles, as a drive from Field was the only score for awhile. They found themselves down 11-4 very early in the game as shots wouldn't fall and White Deer's big guy inside could not be stopped. Bad passes and turnovers also plagued the Eagles early on, and they were down 13-7 after the first.
Brom hits a three in the second to cut the lead to 17-14, but White Deer goes on an 8-3 run with their big guy inside to end the half, up 25-17.
The third begins with an offensive rebound and put back from Field, and two more from a Valle layup. After two threes from Melton, they are still down 39-31 after the 3rd.
The fourth quarter held all the action for this contest. The Eagles immediately turn the ball over and go down by 10. Blakely scores two and then steals it and scores two more for Fritch. The lead is cut to four, but free throws put White Deer up 44-37. Field hits a three for Fritch. A field goal from Melton, and they are within two of the Bucks. Valle snags an offensive rebound, puts it back up for two, and is fouled on the play. His free throw is no good, but Melton rebounds, and he is fouled. He hits one of two to pull the Eagles to within one.
Valle again gets the rebound off the missed free throw and puts it in for the Eagles to take their first lead, 47-46 with just under two minutes to play. White Deer is fouled, but only makes one of two to tie it up at 47 with 1:04 to play. Melton has a huge steal and passes down the court to Valle, who lays it in on the fast break to put Fritch up by two.
White Deer works it inside, and the Eagles are called for the foul with three seconds left to play. The Bucks miss the first free throw and make the second, making the score 49-48 with 1.4 seconds left in the game. White Deer actually steals the inbound pass, but Valle steals it right back as time runs out to seal the victory for the Eagles in this exciting match.
Field led the Eagles with 11 points, Melton had 10, and Blakely finished with 9. Both teams will play at home on Friday night against Sunray starting at 6:00pm.
