On Tuesday evening, the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles swept the Lady Cats from Childress in three straight games in District 1-2A action.
In the first game, Sanford-Fritch struggled with serving and let Childress stay in the game with many lead changes. The Lady Cats had some great opportunities to win but Sanford-Fritch came together to finish strong. 25-22
Game two was Sanford-Fritch’s game to take charge. Great serving from senior Mariah Cumings and hard hits from Jacy Judd helped the Lady Eagles move past Childress for the win. 25-9
The third game was pretty equivalent to the first game, with Childress taking a quick lead. Sanford-Fritch had to reestablish their game plan. Mariah Cumings had a 7-0 serving run helping the win. Fritch won 25-18.
Big night for the Sophomore setter Christa White. She had 33 assists, 2 aces and 12 digs.
Other stat leaders:
Blocks- Mikala Setliff 2
Kills- Jacy Judd 14 ; Mariah Cumings 9
Aces- Madi Allen; Mariah Cumings; Summer Tubbs all had 2
