Sanford-Fritch Eagles rally to beat River Road 8-6

On Tuesday afternoon a three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning by Jarrod Goodwin gave the Sanford-Fritch Eagles the 8-6 win over the Amarillo River Road Wildcats in the District 1-2A opener for both teams.Goodwin had a good game going 3-for-4 at the plate, while driving in five runs for the Eagles.The Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning but River Road responded by scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Wildcats added three more runs in the second inning, but the Eagles settled down on the field behind a solid pitching performance by Seth Hanifin.
