Salvation Army giving youth chance to attend summer camp

April 30, 2012

The local Salvation Army is wanting to give local youth the chance to attend a special summer camp.
The organization is offering a free summer camp for youth ages 10-12. The camp will take place at Camp Hoblitzelle near Midlothian June 25-30, 2012.
There will be safe and fun activities with trained staff, which include fishing, swimming, boating, archery, golf, crafts, horseback riding, hiking, a zip line, team events, nature/science education and nightly chapel services on the lake.
Transportation to and from the camp will be provided. Space is limited and the application deadline is approaching. The first 15 completed applications will be guaranteed participation, and all those who apply later will be placed on a waiting list.
The local Salvation Army, located at 1090 Coronado Circle in Borger, is holding an informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. for those interested in learning more about the summer camp.
To learn more about the camp, or to help send a needy child, call Kristin at 806-273-2491 or 806-440-4995. E-mails can also be sent to Kristin_mcgee@uss.salvation.army.org.
