Rotary Club set to host Dr. Alan Chu

The Borger Rotary Club will be hosting a special guest at its upcoming Tuesday meeting. The program will be held at Dake's Restaurant, located at 718 N. Main in Borger, Texas. The program will be presented by Dr. A. Alan Chu, M.D., F.A.C.C. Dr. Chu is
associated with the AMAILLO HEART GROUP and his medical practice emphasizes "Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology". Community members are invited to attend.
Dr. Alan Chu's medical practice emphasizes routine and complex coronary angioplasty and stenting, right and left heart catheterization, diagnostic coronary angiograms, physiologic testing including nuclear stress tests and 2D echocardiography, clinical cardiology including heart failure management
and lipid management. Dr. Chu is member of the Amarillo Heart Group and has also been the principal investigator for many clinical research studies designed to advance the knowledge, understanding and treatment in patients with acute coronary syndrome and heat attacks, patients with congestive
heart failure and patients with high cholesterol.
Dr. Chu attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine. He also completed his internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. Subsequently, Dr. Chu was an assistant professor of medicine at Duke University from 1987 until 1990. Dr. Chu relocated to Peoria, Illinois, and practiced cardiology in Peoria until relocating to
Amarillo. He has continued his affiliation with Duke University as an assistant consulting professor of medicine at Duke.
