AMARILLO - Rodney Bruce Ferguson, 58, of Amarillo died Saturday May 7, 2011, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday May 11, 2011, at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger.
Bruce was born Feb. 24, 1953, in Borger to Thomas and Virginia Ferguson. He served in the U.S. Army 1st Calvary Airborne Combat Division as a Pathfinder serving three tours of duty in Vietnam.
He married Sandra Brown on May 31, 1992, in Borger. He worked in heating and air for Patrick’s in Amarillo. He loved his grandchildren, computers and just children. He was preceded in death by his sister LaWanda McWilliams in 1997, grandmother Grace Barrett and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife Sandra of the home, parents, Thomas and Virginia Ferguson of Borger; brothers, Tommy Gene Ferguson of Amarillo and Roy Wayne Ferguson of Borger, grandfather H. H. Barrett of Borger, stepchildren, Chad Francis of Fritch, Bobby Bristow of Amarillo and Lacy Bristow of Amarillo; brother-in-law Kendall McWilliams of Borger, and four grandchildren.
