Robert Post to perform in Borger

December 31, 2012

Friday, January 11, 2013, 7:30 p.m., Borger High School Auditorium, Borger

"....it’s theatre - it’s comedy - it’s allusion "

Inspired by the sight of his Italian grandmother spontaneously dancing and singing at any family occasion (including funerals) and the classic vaudeville, juggling and specialty acts featured on the Ed Sullivan show, Robert Post created and built a career with his one man-variety show that entertains, engages and enchants. Post blends his love of character work with the magical techniques of the movement arts to create a unique creative style that he has performed inalmost every conceivable setting. He has created over thirty works and received numerous awards and fellowships from such organizations as the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council for the Arts, andthe Ohio Arts Council. A PBS documentary of his stage performance won the Central Education Network Award for Best Performance Program. Enjoy a performance that The New York Times describes as “dry humor, expert mime, versatile acting, skilled juggling, ventriloquism, splendid timing and keen sense of satire and the absurd.”
