Removal of the old Black Hotel, originally called "Hotel Black," moves into high gear this week

Borger's Black Hotel formally opened on Tuesday, August 30, 1927. Originally a three-story, 60 room hotel featuring fireproof building and a roof garden, the new Hotel Black, as it was called then, was heralded as "the wonder city's first metropolitan building" by the Borger Daily Herald.

Demolition of the building moves into high gear this week. What are your favorite memories of the old hotel?
