Ray Wygle, age 83, of Lewisville, Texas, went to be with his Savior Monday, October 7, 2013, in Denton.
Ray was born December 18, 1929 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to Charley John Wygle and Nora Lee (Neighbors) Wygle, the 10th of 11 children. Ray married Pearl Swart on February 8, 1953 in Rocky, Oklahoma at Salem Baptist Church. The couple celebrated their 60th anniversary in February with their family. They resided in Borger from 1953 to 1984, then in Bartlesville Oklahoma until 1987. They have lived in Lewisville since 1995. Ray served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Ray was ordained as deacon in 1982 at Calvary Baptist Church in Borger and served as deacon there and also Bartlesville Southern Baptist and Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville. He was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company, retiring in 1986 after 38 years.
Ray is survived by his wife, Pearl; two children, Debbie Faylor and husband, Gary and Richard Wygle and wife, Lizsette; his four grandchildren, Cory and Cody Faylor, Noah and Kira Wygle and one sister, Norma Evans, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and 6 sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at Lakeland Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma.
