PSPCISD board takes care of business

The Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD board of trustees met Thursday night in Stinnett.
The board approved the independent financial audit for the fiscal year beginning Sept. 1, 2010, and ending August 31, 2011.
Action was also taken to establish an active and continuing records management program as required by the Texas State Library and Archives commission and designate Bill Wiggins, superintendent of Schools, as the Records Management Officer.
The board reviewed investment policy and investment officers, and approved four contracts with Walcot ISD to purchase attendance credits to equalize wealth. The board also approved employment for Ashley Graves as the new 3rd grade teacher.
The PSPCISD board members took the action to approve the resolution related to changes to the trustee terms of office and extension of current trustee terms, and to adopt new BBB (local) policies reflecting the changes.
This makes trustee terms four years and voting will land in odd numbered years. The terms of Lane Monden, Joey Miller, Cory Conyers, and Terry Bevins will end in 2013. Terms for Rodney Kimmell, Randy Heston,and Rodney Franklin will end in 2015.
