Peter Marsh, 79, of Borger, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Peter Arthur Marsh was born Thursday, June 6, 1931 to Peter Paul Marsh and Leona (Kallenbach) Marsh in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Marsh married Ethel Anderson on January 29, 1988 in Groom. Mr. Marsh worked for J. M. Huber as Head of Research and Development for many years, retiring in 1983. He then went to work for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company as an insurance agent retiring with them in 1992. He was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church while his health allowed. He was instrumental in starting the Borger Stamp Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Patricia, on June 5, 1986 and a brother, Thomas Marsh.
Survivors include his wife Ethel Anderson Marsh, two sons Dr. Peter Marsh and wife Sabrina of Manvel, TX, Michael Marsh and wife Donda of Lubbock, TX, three daughters Mary Epps and husband Michael of Lubbock, TX, Eileen Karlin and husband Leo of Garland, TX and Ann Stanford and husband Steve of Panhandle, TX, step-children Renee Graves and husband Steve of Borger, TX, Blake Anderson and wife Sharon of Houston, TX and Chris Anderson also of Houston, TX, 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church at 11:00AM, Wednesday, May11, 2011 with Msgr. Michael Colwell officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger, TX.
Pallbearers will be Micah Graves, Eric Graves, Ian Anderson, Lane Stanford, Kyle Jones, and Dalton Marsh.
Mr. Marsh will lie in state at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM and Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
