Pedestrian injured in Monday collision

A local man was hit by a car while crossing the street Monday.
Gary Lynn Bumgarner, 67, of Borger was crossing Sixth Street from south to north near the Allsups Convenience Store at 8:19 a.m. yesterday morning, Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department said.
While Bumgarner was crossing, Jahzell Miranda Flores 26, who was driving a white Volkswagen, made a left turn from Florida onto Sixth and struck Bumgarner.
According to Lt. Griffin, he was then transported to the Golden Plains Community Hospital by ambulance with several injuries.
