Panhandle Community Services was recently awarded a grant to help people in the Texas panhandle to apply for health care through the Affordable Care Act and the Market Place.
Family Development Specialist Lititia Rollo has indicated that she was available to meet with local residents by staging presentations on applying for health care. “We would like to inform the community on how they can qualify for health care either through a private insurer or through Medicaid, or how they could possibly qualify for an exception in the new health care laws when they file taxes next year,” said Rollo.
Americans, by law, are required to obtain health insurance as a way to combat rising health care costs. Individuals that cannot afford their own health insurance can obtain help through the insurance market place.
Businesses, or individuals, can contact  Rollo about presentations at (806) 935-5551.
