Oteka Bernard Watts(April 3, 1932 - December 21, 2013)Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December27, 2013 in the First Baptist Church in Memphiswith Rev. Daniel Downey and Rev. Johnnie Snider,officiating.Private family interment will be at Fairview Cemeteryin Memphis.Viewing and visitation for Mrs. Watts will be onThursday, December 26, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm andthen Friday starting at 9:00 am at the funeral home.Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.Mrs. Watts was born April 3, 1932 in Memphis, Texas to Glen Sam and Annie May GardenhireBernard. She had been a beautician, waitress, and worked at several other businessin the Memphis area. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was past Queen Mother ofthe Red Hatters Club. Oteka loved gardening and tending to her yard, and especially lovedspending time with her grandkids. She was a lifetime resident of Memphis and was a memberof the Memphis First Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of CaprockRehab-Nursing Home in Borger for the great care and kindness that they gave to Oteka.Oteka was preceded in death by her parents; and by the father of her children, Clifford Lee“Corky” Maddox.Oteka is survived by 2 daughters, Glenda Grant and husband Ted of Brunswick, Maine,Cindy Campbell and husband Jay of Borger; a brother, Albert Ray Bernard and wife Dareleneof Ft. Worth; a sister, Johnnie Yarbrough of Cabot, Arkansas; a host of nieces and cousins anda nephew that were special to her; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.The family requests that memorials be to the American Cancer society or to the FairviewCemetery Association in Memphis.
