May 14, 2012

Law enforcement agencies this week busted an alleged Amarillo, Dumas and Borger drug ring with ties to the metroplex.
The DEA, FBI and panhandle law enforcement agencies assisted in a drug bust at several homes and businesses in those towns.
As of Thursday, May 10, nine people have been arrested and others may be arrested in the future.
Five homes in Dumas were searched and homes in Amarillo and Borger were investigated as part of the operation.
According to Kathy Colvin of the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Texas, nothing has been publicly filed yet.
After searching several homes and vehicles, agents seized a large quantity of narcotics and a lump sum of cash. The Borger News-Herald will release more information as it becomes available.
