Nolan Ernest “Scooter” Lanham

AMARILLO – Nolan Ernest “Scooter” Lanham, 58, died Jan. 28, 2012.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at New Life Church with Spike Malonado officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home.
Scooter was born in Borger on October 7, 1953 to John and Ernestine Lanham. He passed away on January 28, 2012 following a sudden stroke.
He was raised in Stinnett and Dumas and was a 1973 graduate of Dumas High School. He married Cynthia Murry on December 3, 1977 in Dumas.
He drove trucks for many years. He moved to Amarillo from Dumas in 1998 and drove for Plains Dairy.
Scooter loved his Lord, his family and Church. He enjoyed team roping, especially with his sons.
He loved spending time with his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father John Lanham in 2011.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia of Amarillo, 2 sons, Ollie Lanham and wife Christy and Dusty and his wife Heather all of Amarillo, His mother, Ernestine Lanham of Dumas, five grandsons, Caden, Stryker, Ethan, Dawson, Sloan, 2 brothers, Kenney Lanham and wife Georgia of Dumas and Jimmy Lanham and wife Kelli also of Dumas. One sister, Lynn Johnson of Dumas. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
The family requests memorials to New Life Church, 406 Pittsburg, Amarillo, Texas 79104.
