Nancy Derreberry Shults Long Renfroe

Dandridge, TN-Nancy Derreberry Shults Long Renfroe, 72 of Jonesborough, TN, formerly of Dandridge, TN and Borger, TX passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 2 and Interment graveside services were held Friday, Feb. 3, all under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. She was laid to rest at McCampbell’s Chapel Cemetery in Dandridge, TN.
While living in Borger, she served as the Activity Director at the Borger Healthcare Center for several years and was a reporter for the County Voice Newspaper. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Borger and was also active in the Bill Glass Prison Ministry.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Jack Derreberry and Goldie Derreberry Smith; an infant son, Eddie Shults; brothers Jim and David Derreberry; sisters Mary Jane Paddock and Betty Ray; and two husbands, J. O. Long and Troy Renfroe.
She is survived by a son Fred Shults, Jr; grandchildren Ethan and McKenzie Shults, Gwen Boyer and Travis Sampson; one sister, Barbara McSpadden; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
