The Hutchinson County Historical Museum hosted its Annual Adobe Walls Trek this past Saturday, which was filled with a variety of activities and special guests. Left, among the special guests were Glen and Ardith Parker Leming, who took time to visit with Museum Director Wes Phillips at the museum prior to the trek. A. Leming is the great-granddaughter of Quanah Parker. Right, many local citizens traveled out to the Adobe Walls Site, where they got to hear traditional Indian songs and stories and see a cedar smoking ceremony. For more photos from the trek, see pg. 5 of today’s edition.
