Muriel Margaret White, 94, died Tuesday May 1 at St. Ann’s Nursing Home in Panhandle.
Rosary will said at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel and Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Borger with Msgr. Michael Colwell officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. White was born September 10, 1917 in Kansas, OK to Thomas Jackson and Addie Brady Jackson. She has lived in the area for the past 65 years and was very active in her church. Muriel was a very talented oil painter and was a former owner of the Wolflin Village Art Gallery in Amarillo. She was named Fritch “Woman of the Year” in 1981.
She is survived by her husband Dale, 7 Sons; Bobby Holloway of Chapel Hill, TN, Billy Holloway of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry White of Clinton, OK, Wesley White of Centennial, CO, Paul White of Dewey, OK, Tony White of Amarillo, David White of Denver, CO; 7 Daughters – Evelyn Merrell of St. Charles, MO, Julie Ray of Utah, Patti Sanders of Amarillo, Kathy Walstead of Amarillo, Debbie Cooper of Fritch, Teri Patton of Amarillo and Paula Henderson of Lubbock; 2 Sisters – Lucille Galka of Cheyenne, WY and Betty Raye Burda of California; 28 Grandchildren, many Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Dave Walker, Don Wells, Raymond Burr, David Burgett, Daniel Mayberry and Rusty Eckels.
