Maurine Brown, 93, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 08, 2011.
Maurine (Haney) Brown was born Tuesday, March 26, 1918 in Burleson, TX to Homer & Lela (Norwood) Haney. Mrs. Brown, along with her husband, Thomas Everett (Tom) Brown were charter members of Bunavista Baptist Church where she remained a member. She and her husband were directors of the Young Peoples Department for more than twenty-five years. She was a Sunday School teacher, G.A. teacher, played the piano for church and was a member of the church choir.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Everett Brown on July 5, 1981 and her parents.
She is survived by a son, Richard Brown & wife Iwanna of Bastrop, TX; a daughter, Lynda Lehman and husband Ted of Vernon, TX; two sisters, Wanda Faught of Mesquite, TX and Wilma Aly and husband C.T. of San Angelo, TX; six grandchildren, Jeff Lehman and family of Vernon, TX, Terri Barrow and family of Borger, TX, Lee Ann Bradow and family of Spring, TX, John Mark Brown and family of Yoakum, TX, Melinda Carrell of Ft. Worth, TX, Joe Lehman of Midland, TX; seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, June11, 2011 at Bunavista Baptist Church in Borger, TX with David Langdon, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery in Borger, TX.
Viewing will be Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday, June 10, 2011 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM. Family visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2011 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
