Martha Jean Elledge, 73, of Farmington, N.M., left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 15, 2011.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, in the Chapel at First Baptist Church of Bloomfield. Interment was held immediately following in Bayfield, Colo. Arrangements were under the direction of Brewer, Lee, and Larkin Funeral Home of Farmington, N.M.
Mrs. Elledge was born in Pampa. She grew up in West Texas and graduated from Borger High School. She received her business degree from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. She married Harold Elledge on Aug. 26, 1960. She was a teacher at Farmington High School in Farmington, N.M., where she taught shorthand, typing, business, and computer classes. She retired in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merkel and Odessa Phillips, and her brother Darrell Ray Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, son Kyle Elledge and wife Lynette, daughter Kim Bell and husband Tye, sister Melba Acheson and husband Densel, sister-in-law Dixie Phillips, two nieces and two nephews, and three grandchildren.
