Marilyn Yvonne Garrett of Borger, Texas passed away Monday March 3, 2014. Marilyn was born in Hutchinson County August 31935 to Casey and Ruby (Singleton) Garrett. Marilyn graduated from Phillips High School in 1953 and received a degree from Harding University in Searcy Arkansas. During her life she was an Extension Home Agent in Guymon, Oklahoma. Marilyn worked at the Borger Museum, Girl’s town in White Deer and was a “Tupperware Lady” in Borger. Marilyn was an active member of Church of Christ at Borger and the children’s bus program was her love. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her sister Dorothy (Garrett) and husband Richard Anderson of Parker, Colorado, five nieces and four nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ at Borger Saturday March 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Church of Christ at Borger in memory of Marilyn Garrett to be used for the children’s program.
