AMARILLO - Margaret Rose Howard, age 86, of Amarillo, died Sunday May 1, 2011.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with Dr. Winfred Moore, Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Westlawn Cemetery, Borger, Texas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Margaret was born on Oct. 10, 1924, in Avant, Okla. to Charles Samuel Hansard and Gladys Pearson Hansard. She worked at Phillips Petroleum Plant Medical Center as a registered nurse and retired from BSA as a RN. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo.
She is preceded in death by her husband H.A. Howard; her parents, Charles Samuel Hansard and Gladys Hansard; brothers, Eugene and John Hansard; and sisters Patricia Atkins and Ruth Hutson.
Survivors include one sister Barbara Cribbs and husband Jimmy of Clayton, Wash.; sister-in-law Kathryn Hansard of Meridian, eight nieces and one nephew.
The family suggest memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 1208 Tyler Street Amarillo, Texas 79101; or BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950 Amarillo, Texas 79176.
