On Wednesday, the Borger duo won three matches to advance to Thursday’s title match.
After an opening round win, Madden/Whitworth defeated Zevecke/Estes from Alvarado 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, then defeated Lujan/Ochoa from Monahans 6-2, 0-6, 6-3 in the semi-finals.

This is the second year in a row Borger has sent a Mixed Doubles team to the state tournament. Abbie and her brother Josh Madden won the state title in 2011.
The Borger Girls Doubles team of Casandra Fonseca and Lindsey Murley fell in the first round of the regional tournament.
