Local youth golfers enjoy success in summer tournaments

In the first two weeks of summer vacation, several Hutchinson County youth golfers have been busy on the links competing in Junior Northern Texas PGA golf tournaments in Amarillo.
West Texas High senior Nathan Forrest continues to establish himself as one of the best young golfers in the Texas Panhandle by taking first place in three events in Amarillo, including the Ryan Palmer Foundation Junior Classic at Tascosa Country Club, the Junior Dr. Pepper Classic at Ross Rogers, and at Comanche Trails in the Boys Age 17 & 18 division.
In the Boys 15 & 16 division, Borger High school junior Dylan Coffer took first place in the Ryan Palmer Foundation Junior Classic and the Junior Dr. Pepper Classic, and took second place at Comanche Trails.
In the Comanche Trails Tournament, Borger High School golf Devontae Landers took first place by finishing two strokes ahead of Coffer.
