Local man injured in Tuesday morning accident

A local man was struck by a pickup truck Tuesday Morning.
According to Captain Roberts of the Borger Police Department, the accident happened at 7:59 a.m. on North Main St. and Jefferson St.
The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Carson, 56, of Borger, was driving a Dodge pickup truck and turned east bound on Jefferson St. The pedestrian, David Watt, 71, of Borger just happened to be crossing Jefferson St. at the same time Carson was turning. Roberts stated the driver's eyesight was impaired by the sun, but he was cited with failure to control speed. Watt is in stable condition and has a few broken bones.
