L.B. "Bill Mauldin

L. B. “Bill” Mauldin, 86, of Borger, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013.
L.B. “Bill” Mauldin was born November 21, 1926 in Graham, TX, to Luther
Benjamin Mauldin and Leila (Snow) Mauldin.
L.B. “Bill” Mauldin married Ila Cheatwood on May 26, 1972 in Borger.
Bill was a welder for the Philtex Plan for many years. Bill was a long
time member of First Baptist Church where he was very active and was a
member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Bill loved his Lord,
church and his family and was a true cowboy never without his hat or his
tie.
Mr. Mauldin is preceded in death by his first wife Helen Mauldin in
1967, and his parents.
Survivors include his wife Ila; four sons: James Mauldin and his wife
Cathy of Denver, CO., Boyd Mauldin of Amarillo, Todd Lemon and wife
Darla of Borger, and Terry Lemon and wife Michelle of Ft. Worth; one
sister, Elizabeth McQuarrie of Alvin, seven grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 7, 2013
at the First Baptist Church auditorium with Steve Taylor officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. “Neel”, Kyle Lemon, Justin Mauldin,
Jerry Lewis, Rondald Welch, Othel Hester, Jessie Isom, Jeff Isom and
Carl Duso.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BSA. P.O. Box 950,
Amarillo, TX, 79109.
