Lady Plainsmen top Clarendon College in four games

After being picked to finish last in the WJCAC at the start of the season, the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen proved the experts on wrong by qualifying for the West Region V Tournament without the use of any tiebreaker with a four game win over Clarendon College on Saturday afternoon 22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-14.
The West Region V Tournament will take place on Saturday, featuring the Lady Plainsmen opening against Midland College, while NMMI will take on Western Texas College in the other semi-final.
Against Clarendon College, Jordan Moore had 19 kills, five blocks; Rebecca Moustapha 12 kills, three blocks; Nikki Welter seven digs; Melissa Gonclaves six kills, three blocks 12 digs, and one ace.
