Lady Plainsmen make strong showing in Oklahoma

Over the weekend, the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen improved to 6-2 on the season after posting a 3-1 record at the Redlands CC Volleyball Tournament in El Reno, Okla.
On Friday, the Lady Plainsmen opened the tournament defeating Oklahoma Baptist University JV in straight sets 25-16, 26-24, 25-22. In their final match on Friday, the Lady Plainsmen fell to Seminole State 12-25, 22-25, 22-25.
On Saturday, the Lady Plainsmen rebounded from Friday’s loss to Seminole State to finish the tournament with wins over Hutchinson CC 15-25, 25-20, 15-25, 25-22, 15-11 and Pratt CC 25-21, 25-20, 25-19.
This coming weekend, the Lady Plainsmen will travel to the Houston area to take part in a tournament before opening WJCAC play on Wednesday, September 14th on the road at Midland College.
The Lady Plainsmen’s first home match will take place on Saturday, September 17th against Vernon College at 2:00 p.m.
