After playing to a 30-30 tie at halftime, the Howard College Lady Red Hawks used a 17-2 run to start the second half to defeat the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen 65-49 in WJCAC action.

The Lady Hawks scored seven straight points to take a one point lead, but the first half ended with the two teams exchanging leads six times until playing to a 30-30 score at halftime.
Any momentum the Lady Plainsmen built in the first half went away fast in the second half, as the Red Hawks scored ten straight points sparking the 17-2 and building a 32-47 lead.
The Lady Plainsmen fought back to pull to within ten points with seven minutes to go. But Howard did a good job hitting shots in the final five minutes to hang on for the double digit win.
