Lady Eagles fall to Caprock and San Jacinto

On Monday, the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles opened their 2011 volleyball season in Amarillo taking on San Jacinto and Caprock in a triangular where they came up short in both matches.
Against the Lady Patriots, the Lady Eagles played tough but dropped the match in three games 16-25, 18-25, 16-25.
In their match against the 4A Caprock Lady Longhorns, the Lady Eagles were in a great match that went five games.
The Lady Eagles won game one 25-23 before dropping the next two 12-25 and 13-25. Sanford-Fritch regrouped to win game four 25-17 but the Lady Longhorns got the breaks to win game five 9-15 to take the match.
The Lady Eagles will compete in their home openers on Friday against Ft. Elliott starting at 6:00 p.m.
