The West Texas Lady Comanches ended the regular season tied with Clarendon in second. They played a game in Pampa Tuesday afternoon to decide post season position. The two teams split the District meetings in regular season. The Tribe took care of business in a close one with a 5-4 win. Erin Summers got the win for WT. She struck out 4 batters and walked 3.

WT took care of the top of the Lady Broncos batting order 1-2-3. Rachel Wallace got the Lady Comanches on the board when she stole home on a passed ball. The score after one was 1-0 WT High.

In the top of the second, Clarendon put a couple of runners on base but they were left stranded. The Lady Tribe scored two runs after the lead off hitter struck out. Cheyenne Tull got on with a base hit to center. Wallace was on board after an error at second. Hailee Flaharity banged a double to left field to bring in a run. Devin DeLapp added another RBI when she got on with an error at third. When the dust settled, West Texas led 3-0 after two.

The Lady Broncos got on the scoreboard with two walked batters and a fielding error. This allowed a run to score and Clarendon trailed 3-1 with WT still to bat in the third inning. Sarah Kelly led off and got on base with an error on third base. Taylor Kirksey sent the ball sailing into left field for a double and an RBI. Tull hit a sacrifice out in left field and allowed Kirksey to score. The Lady Comanches led 5-1 after three.

The fourth inning was scoreless with both teams sending three hitters apiece to the plate. The fifth and sixth innings were scoreless and the Tribe went into the top of the seventh needing to hold Clarendon to less than three to get the win. Things got a little hairy when the Lady Broncos put their first three hitters on base. Two runs scored and the score was 5-3 with no outs. A pop up to short got out number one. Next hitter was on with a hit to left. A sacrifice fly scored one more to make the score 5-4 with two away. A fly ball to Abby Summers at third ended the game giving WT the win 5-4.

Flaharity had a 2 RBI double. Kirksey had an RBI double. DeLapp and Tull had RBI's.
