PANHANDLE-On Tuesday evening, the Borger Lady Bulldogs struggled to get their offense going in their 64-26 loss to the Panhandle Pantherettes.
The Lady Bulldogs shot just 26% against Panhandle and couldn’t make up for it on the boards with Panhandle doing a solid job boxing out for rebounds the whole game.
A pass from McKenzie Loftis to Emma Wood put the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard early. However, Panhandle opened the first period by going on a 17-2 run.
In the second period, Tiffanie Prater and Katie Sizemore put points on the scoreboard for Borger. But the team couldn’t cut into Panhandle’s lead with the Pantherettes holding a 31-10 lead by halftime.
The loss by Borger takes their season record to 3-9.
Friday’s game with 1A #11 Wellington has been cancelled due to the Wellington football team playing in the state semifinals in football this weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs will next take to the court next Tuesday hosting Amarillo Highland Park beginning at 6:30 p.m.
