On Wednesday morning, the Borger Lady Bulldogs opened play in the Breckenridge Lions’ Club Christmas Tournament with a 50-31 loss to Breckenridge.
The two teams were tangled up in a close contest in the first half, with Breckenridge only holding a 15-12 lead at halftime.
However, Breckenridge took advantage of being on their home court in the second half by outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 35-19 to pull away for the win.
Junior Emma Wood led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 12 points followed by sophomore Nellie Embers chipping in eight points.
The loss drops the Lady Bulldogs to 3-12 for the 2011-12 season.
