Lady Bulldogs claim second place in District 1-3A golf tourney

On Monday, the Borger High School Girls A team took second place in the District 1-3A Golf Tournament in Dumas. The second place finish qualifies the team for the 3A Region I Golf Tournament to be held on April 16th and 17th.
After shooting a first round score of 400 on April 2nd, the Borger A team looked a lot better in the second round posting a 392 for a tournament total of 792 to finish behind Pampa who had a team score of 763.
Clarice Myers led the Lady Bulldogs by finishing in third place overall with a 94-93-187. All five of the A team golfers finished the tournament in the top ten.
The Borger B team finished the tournament in third place by shooting a two round score of 457-455-912.
Pampa’s Allison Alexander took first place in the tournament, posting 86-93-179.
