Kiwanis to hold Pancake Day this Saturday

March 28, 2012

The Borger Kiwanis Club will be holding its 54th annual Pancake Day this Saturday.
The event will be held from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, in the Frank Phillips College Cafeteria. Adult tickets cost $6 at the door and young children eat free.
All net proceeds from the Pancake Day go to charity, and a number of local and international projects and organizations have been helped by the Pancake Day money in the past.
The club sponsors the Bring Up Grades (BUG) program at Spring Creek Club, and is also involved with the Kiwanis International ELIMINATE project, which is working with UNICEF to completely eliminate maternal/neonatal tetanus, a leading killer of young children worldwide.
The club also provided funding for security cameras at Borger Intermediate School and initial funding to organize the Borger High School Theatre Booster Club. Care Net Pregnancy Center has a prayer garden and new fence built by the club as well.
The club normally meets on Fridays at noon in the gallery room adjacent to the FPC cafeteria and welcomes visitors. For more information, contact Edgington at 857-2352 or Mary Kay at 275-2702.
