Joy “Meme” Hughes Jueschke

Joy “Meme” Hughes Jueschke, 76, of Borger passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011.
Joy was born Sunday, September 22, 1935 in Gotebo, OK to James and Thelma (Walker) Hughes. She married Gerald Jueschke on April 28, 1998 in Stinnett, TX. She was a retired business office manager for Frank Phillips College. Joy touched many lives and was a joy to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jackie Hughes in 1994; and her brother, Dean “Cowboy” Hughes.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Jueschke; two daughters, Shevon Watson and husband Bob of Borger, TX and Shermane Deschaines and husband Mike of Stinnett, TX; her brother, Jim Hughes and wife Barbara of Amarillo, TX; her sister, Betty Head of Farmington, NM; sister in law, Betty Jo Hughes of Amarillo, TX; three grandsons, Terry Webster, Skyler Watson and Spencer Deschaines; and one great granddaughter, Addison Deschaines.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, December 5, 2011 at Stinnett Church Of Christ in Stinnett, TX. Burial will follow at the Stinnett Cemetery, Stinnett, TX.
Mrs. Jueschke will lie in state at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX, Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM and Monday, December 5, 2011 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
The family will be staying at 1128 Morse Ave., Stinnett, TX.
