John Thomas Scott age 85 of Borger died on Thursday, September 19,2013 in Pampa.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery in Wellington. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
John was born December 13, 1927 in Wellington, to Samuel R. and Lucy Ann Thomas Scott. He attended school at Samnorwood.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He worked for Getty Oil Co. for several years and then owned and operated J & J Construction in Borger for many years.
John was a member of the Borger Church of Christ. He had served on the Spring Creek School Board.
He is survived by 4 sons Dr. Johnie Scott of Vernon, James Scott and Ray Scott both of Borger, and Jerry Scott of Valier, Mt.; a daughter Ramona Alders of Borger; a brother Bud Scoot of Shamrock; 5 sisters Dorothy Skaggs, Joy Eakles, Barbara Scott, and Mollie White all of Amarillo and Gayle Mock of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, and 2 sisters Mae Voss and Clara Lee Scott.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Shamrock Church of Christ.
