John Ray Thompson, 70 of Fritch died January3rd in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be10:00 am Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger.Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeraldirectors of Borger.John was born October 30, 1943 in McKinney, Texas toHarley Ray and Opal Horn Thompson. He was a disabledveteran in the US Navy. He was a resident of Fritch for 29years. He was an accomplished carpenter. He won an awardfor over 1,000 hours volunteering at the Amarillo VA Hospital.He loved making people’s days brighter at the VA Hospital.He enjoyed woodworking and working with his hands.He enjoyed church activities as he was a Godly man. Mostimportant he was a wonderful and loved husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded indeath by his parents.John is survived by his daughters Tonya and husband Steve Stephenson of Fritch: Melonyand husband David Watkins of Fritch. Grandchildren Stephanie and Husband J. W. McPhersonof San Antonio: Mallory and her husband William Brown III of Amarillo: William Watkinsof Dade City, Florida. Mother of his two daughters and grandmother oh is grandchildrenand his friend Sue and her husband Tom Pearson. Sister Mary -Lynn of Garland and a brotherRobert Thompson of Sunray.
